"Stay happy and you'll be perfectly fine" - Jack Norris

Oh, Sunday looks sad

You might have been able to catch that one if you'd had the right equipment.

Hello Friends,

Yep, it’s still spring out there. Not as warm as yesterday, but the surf situation remains much the same. Swell energy continues to bounce around between 7 and 8 seconds. So too has the height at sea which continues along at around a metre from the east. So, the short version for Sunday, is go back there again if you found waves at a particular spot yesterday.

The Bureau says we can expect light S-SW wind this morning. It’s set to go around to the NE 18-23 kts this afternoon. So just maybe you could find a little more energy in a semi-protected north corner toward dark.

Looking ahead, I’m thinking tomorrow will be zippo for Sydney. We might get a small, weak south pulse late Tuesday, but right now it’s not looking particularly hopeful. And beyond that, the models agree that we won’t have much of anything at all for as far ahead as they can project.

Wish it was otherwise, but what can I say?

Here’s a thought, how ’bout checking out some of the interesting threads running in our forums? Lucky Al has posted a great excerpt about barrel riding and surf in San Francisco that really makes you want to read the whole interview with Lewis Samuels.

Have yourself a great day!
