Sunny morning in Sydney town

Hello Friends,

Just back from a quick reccy along the Longy to Freshwater stretch. Such a beautiful morning to be out and about. Sparkling sunlight dancing on the water, cool offshore wind to remind us that the magic days of autumn are on the way.

As the point picture posted earlier shows however, we’re in the grip of bad flatness (fladass batness?) just at the moment.

Getting down closer to the beach at Dee Why did not result in any extra information of a surfly sort. It was totally puny. I took a couple snaps anyway…

0830 and it was ultra small but perfectly offshore.

And, whadya know, same deal. But I did actually get a shot of somebody in the water with a board…

The only surfer spotted this morning, North Curly, about 0840.

South Curly was, if anything, even more woeful than the north end. So after a cursory glance, I decided to head for lovely Freshwater to confirm what I already knew. But what the hey,  I was out and about… might

QF12 just finishing up the 13 hr run from LAX I reckon.

But what the hey, I was out and about… might as well, eh? Meanwhile, high overhead, 300 people were putting up their tray tables and looking out the window after 13 long hours traversing the Pacific from LA.

Situation at Freshy was exactly, precisely, as expected. Nothing wave like to get a picture of, so I snapped a shot of another person dancing on the sand in a most peculiar way.
