From this afternoon
Posted by: Don on June 11th, 2009Hi all,
Wandered all over the landscape in search of a good but uncrowded wave. I failed. Shoulda just picked my crowd and got on with it. Instead, went for a very bizarre paddleout at south Curly because there were only half a dozen out wrangling the weirdness. Huge bounce running off the rocks at the headland and coming at right angles to the approaching swell. Some mutant looking things out there. But hard to convey with a picture. I’ve got the new Panasonic Lumix FT-1 waterproof unit for testing, so I used it to grab the following snap.

Any other pics of the weird waves? They were fun to surf!
I did get some other shots, but that one seemed to capture the weirdness best. I will try to publish some more today if I can find time in the schedule.
