There’s Sunday done
Posted by: Don on June 28th, 2009Hello Friends,
Ended up staying glassy and rather small to flat at most places through the day. Interestingly though there was an uptick in the period from around 9 seconds up to 10 with some peak component at 13 seconds. So, although the swell height at sea is still around the metre mark, spots with exposure to the longer period stuff were starting to show a bit more energy.
One of the twitter users I follow who calls himself manlysurfreport was on it and tweeted as follows:

I popped up into the crows nest and grabbed a shot of a little one folding onto the beach at Dee Why in the late afternoon.
Shortly after taking the shot, I noticed that the last rays of the sun were illuminating the buildings in the CBD, so I grabbed a picture of that for you as well!
Not super optimistic about the prospects for us tomorrow, long period pulse not withstanding. But the middle of the week looks promising. If I had to pick a day, I’d probably go for Weds. at this stage…
Have a good one!!
