Little line showing

Hello Friends,

Beautiful morning in Sydney and I even caught a picture of a little knee high wave coming into kiddies korner at Dee Why – which is kinda interesting given that the swell out at sea is basically going away from us. According to the MHL data for Sydney, the average and peak period is a choppy 6 seconds. Mysterious. And it suggests that looking around for a wave this morning may require recalibration of your standards down to the minimum setting. Certainly I’d be recommending packing the most bouyant option in your quiver.

Of course as anyone outside will have noticed, we have a steady supply of W-SW wind along the coast. It’s supposed to slacken during the day. Sailing anyone?

Outlook for a change to conditions is not great. I’m hoping the models’ current projection for a little pulse out of the south comes true. If it does, we could have waist to chest high sets at some south swell spots from around Tuesday through Thursday. Fingers crossed!

Have yourself a great day!
