Holding pattern

Hello Friends,

Light NNE breezes greeted the early risers this morning – and so did the surf conditions of yesterday morning. In fact, I think it might be a touch smaller if anything. The wind swell is still out of the east at a touch under 2 metres but the average period is still around the 7 second mark so the best sets are struggling to get much above the chest high mark on the take-off.

The NE’r will be kicking up as the day goes along and according to the latest from the Bureau will be in the 25-30kt range.

Tide was high around 0400 and will hit the low at about 1050.

Weekend outlook remains positive. I commend you to the Goat’s forecast as once again he’s picked it. The models have been bouncing around, but they’re starting to line up with his Goatness’s prognostications. Have a read of it here

Speaking of the weekend, I’m planning to join the other Surfrider crew down at Freshie for a beach clean up at 0800 as part of the Duke’s Day celebrations. Give us a hoy if you’re down that way.

Have yourself a top Friday!
