"Stay happy and you'll be perfectly fine" - Jack Norris

Hello friends,

One of the laziest weeks of the year for yours truly, but thought I’d bob up briefly to wave hello from the far inland.

From the look of the data, Sydney will only be offering the most marginal opportunities for a wave. Get to a spot that likes east, because that’s where the little one metre, 8 sec period wind swell is coming from. Knee to waist on the biggest ones I’d say from looking at the numbers.

Next tide is a low at 1540. By then the south change should be rattling through the place though.

Looks as though there might possibly be a little south energy at some spots for the early risers tomorrow, but I don’t think it’s likely to be terribly impressive. The spots with the best exposure are also likely to be most affected by the remainders of the southerly. Gentleman’s hours tomorrow might be about the best bet.

The next 4-5 days aren’t shaping up too well in the Sydney forecasts… typical summer dribble I’m guessing.

Ah well, hope you’re having a great holiday break anyway. Catch ya again soon!

Weather Situation
A broad high pressure ridge over the southern Tasman Sea is weakening ahead of a cold front bringing southerly change to New South Wales coast. The change will extend to Sydney Waters during Friday afternoon and to the far north coast Saturday morning as a high pressure system moves towards Tasmania extending a ridge along the coast behind the front. This high is expected to be centred over the Tasman Sea on Sunday.
