The Goat’s Surf Forecast

Surf forecast issued Friday 1 March 2013:  Seven day outlook for Sydney:

Why is the weather so horrible !!???!!  Because I’m on holidays of course!!!  So get ready for some more of it!

Blowing like the clappers right now… more or less around 40kpm SSE…which means the modest air temp of about 19 feels like 13… not my ideal holiday temperature!  Swell is currently around 4-8 metres SSE outside with a period of 8-9 secs but a lot smaller than that on the beach.. windblown, choppy.  Not ideal for surfing on my holidays.  The water temp dropped to around 20 late yesterday after being 23 earlier in the week, but I’m expecting that to tick upward again with the change in swell direction to South followings days of Noreasters.

Surf – despite all that huffing and puffing going on at the moment it doesn’t look like doing much good

Saturday: down a bit  in the 2-3 metre range South East.. with accompanying wind

Sunday: about 2 metres or less South East

Monday: 1-2 metres East South East

Tuesday: 1-2 metre range East North East

Wednesday- Friday: around 1 metre or so North East.
