Hello Friends,

Interesting surf weekend eh? You really had to be in the right place at the right time it seemed to me. Swell has just about faded away, but there were definitely a few useful shoulder high sets at the beach and the odd chest plus at the point (but much less frequently). It’ll be interesting to see if the banks are improved by all the water movement of the last couple of days. Swell is mainly out of the ESE at 12 seconds with an average height of a touch over 1.5 metres.

Wind was light at 0700, but the forecast is for it to pick up soon from the N to NE and then to go pretty hard (15-25 kts). Swell is supposed to swing more to the south but to hold at around the current intensity. So, there should be the odd option on the dance card in the protected north corners. The rest of the week isn’t looking exceptionally flash as we run into SE conditions later tomorrow and, worse, a generally small and short period wind swell pattern. Summery, in a word.

Have yourself a top Monday everyone!
