Much smaller, glassy early

Hello Friends,

Swell’s faded in line with expectations. There are still a few knee to waist plusses in the Dee Why shories, but the point’s pretty much been turned off for now. Surface conditions were glassy around 0700. The MHL site wasn’t reachable at report writing time, but the Bureau’s forecast of a metre of swell from the SE looks about right to me. Wind’s due to go NE at 10-15 kts and our next tide is a low at around 1110.

The Bureau’s swell modelling projects a dropping trend for the energy levels from around midday and lasting until sometime on Saturday when a juicy SE swell regime looks like setting up shop for a few days. Wind on Saturday is supposed to be out of the westerly quarters, so things could be interesting. Right now there is general consistency amongst the models that we are looking at a run of 4-5 days of pulsey and generally SE swell. The big question will be what happens with the wind… some variety among the projections on that front with at least one saying strong southerlies and others calling for strong SW. Wonder what the Goat’ll say…

Have yourself a top old Thursday – and stay happy!

Struggling to catch it
