A few pics from the water this morning at Dee Why point

Unlike this afternoon when skies are slate grey and the southerly is 15-25kts and ripping the joint to pieces, there were some fun and clean waves this morning at Dee Why point as the tide dropped. Set wave faces were frequently overhead and it was pretty consistent. Unfortunately, not consist enough for your webmaster who had to content himself with one wave in 90 mins – and I got cut off. Oh well, it was still good to be in the water, even if there were around 50(!) of us at the point. Saw some great surfing.

It looks as though the southerly will plague us through Thursday at least. Happily, though the swell is dropping, there should still be something around at magnet spots – particularly for the early. And Friday to Sunday is looking pretty tasty on the forecast models. Particularly Saturday…

Have a great Tuesday evening and catch you tomorrow… oh yeah, late report from me because I’m making an airport run first thing.

well... it was insanely crowded...

Definitely some fun waves - if you could get one from the crowd.
