Stopped at Dee Why to write a little update on what I saw coming back from Manly this morning. There’s definitely swell in the chest plus range, but for whatever reason it just isn’t that consistent. The best banks I saw were between Nth Steyne and Queensie. Fair number of punters and some nice sections, but lotsa shutdowns and plenty of sitting around. About every 10 minutes there might be a single knee high thing out at the Bower too.
Curly was best in the middle, but there too, I watched for quite awhile before I was able to get a pic, and even then it was a strictly ordinary shutdown.
As I write this, I’ve been watching the beach and the point at Dee Why for a good half hour and I’ve seen two so-so waves caught at the point and only a few more snagged by the crew along the beach. Odd.
Still pretty glassy as of 1000, but it’s supposed to be SE soon…
