Quiet morning at Dee Why

Hello Friends,

Down to a trickle of energy this morning. The 8-second period SE swell is only 1.3 metres or so at sea, but at Dee Why you’d be lucky to see a wave face that big more than a few times an hour. I couldn’t see anyone in the water when I checked Dee Why for the first time today. Conditions were otherwise beautiful – sunny skies, light offshores and a low tide to kick off.

Earlier in the week the forecast models were looking interesting for the weekend, but this morning sees most of the predictions scaled back to a much less interesting outlook. I’m looking forward to seeing what his Goatness has to say, because my reading of the situation is that we might see some twitches late Saturday and into Sunday but otherwise the coming period isn’t looking too interesting at the moment.

Ah well, that’s how it goes. Winter pulsey-ness I guess. Anyway, have yourself a great day and keep on smilin’!
