Hello Friends,
Well, no waves this side of the pond. Looks like light SW to begin with in Sydney. Unfortunately the Bureau says it’ll be going onshore soon and later it’ll be NE. Which might not be a bad thing if the forecast south swell arrives. From the cams it looks like swell’s currently pretty south and 12-14 seconds apart on sets with faces into the chest high range on the bigger ones. You’ll want to get on it asap I’d say. Either that or head to a south swell-NE wind friendly location in the afternoon. Tide’s coming in now to a high at 1245. Good combo actually.
I reckon the late tonight and the early tomorrow could be the goods. Should be fun size if the swell turns up as expected.
Nothing for me to look forward to tomorrow here in so Cal. until maybe this weekend when there might be a little chest high pulse at magnet spots. Here’s hoping….
Have yourself a top old day and get a few for me!
Weather Situation
A high pressure system near Adelaide is extending a ridge across central New South Wales in the wake of a cold front. This high will be the dominant synoptic feature in the region during the next few days at it drifts slowly east, with coastal winds gradually shifting from southerly to northerly in most areas. A weak trough is likely to bring a brief change to the southern half of the coast later Thursday, before the high strengthens over the Tasman Sea on Friday. This is forecast to generate increasing northerly winds before the next frontal system brings a more substantial southerly change on the weekend.
