"Stay happy and you'll be perfectly fine" - Jack Norris

Summertime and the surf is supine

Hello Friends,

Knee high at best this morning. And then you’ll need to be floating above the best bank on the most perfectly aligned beach to get it. Said beach won’t be Dee Why though. This morning sees only a faint sub-1 metre windswell of 7-9 seconds lapping gently in. It was accompanied by a soft NE breeze, but that will soon begin to pick up as it heads into the 15-20 kt range later.

High tide’s at 1025 and low’s at bang on 1700.

This morning’s swell models are still showing the energy levels gradually moving upward across the next 4-5 days. Tomorrow looks like maybe being a tiny bit bigger than today (ie just barely catchable). Friday’s similar and then on Saturday it could notch up another tiny bit from the NE. Periods are predicted to be very short, so it promises to be typical scrappy, messy, bumpy summer windswell at best.

As always, we shall see what we see, so keep on smilin’ and have yourself a top old day!
