Glassy and small but not flat

Hello Friends,

Surface conditions were super smooth this morning, so it’s a bit annoying that our swell has faded overnight. I did see a set wave face that was head high at south Narrabeen, but for the most part the magnet spots were more waist to chest-ish.

Lots of folks in the water at Northy for the glassy waist plus lines. Not many peaks south from there, but if you seek, you may find. The longy to Dee Why stretch was so-so. For the most part it was waist high to smaller, although I did see a chest high wave face on one at No Man’s. The point was barely catchable and kiddies was suitable for its namesakes.

Swell is set to fade today but come back up tomorrow and into Monday. The issue will be the wind. Sunday is supposed to be east to SE and Monday east around to NE. Waves could potentially be solidly overhead for Sunday and Monday at east magnet spots.

Long range outlook is for swell to be surfable all week, but the wind could be an annoyance from mid morning onward most days.

Have yourself a top old Saturday one and all!

Weather Situation

A slow-moving high pressure system near New Zealand extends a ridge to the west-northwest and is directing northeasterly winds along the New South Wales south and central coasts while Ex- Tropical Cyclone Marcia is moving south and winds on the north coast are turning south to southeasterly. Late on Saturday a low (the remains of the cyclone) is expected to be located just off the southeast coast of Queensland. It is then expected to move slowly east on Sunday..
