"Stay happy and you'll be perfectly fine" - Jack Norris

Waiting on you Huey

Hello Friends,

Cloudy skies and a cloudy surf outlook this morning. The MHL buoy is showing about a metre of 10-sec period SSW energy. As you might expect, it’s going by us and all we’re seeing is the very occasional micro set with wave faces struggling to make knee high and next tide is a high right on noon.

The one bright spot I can report is that this morning’s run of the models sees more optimism about the end of the week. Several are projecting an uptick on Friday. It’s shaping to be pretty windswelly though, so I’m just hoping for waist plus and not too hammered by SE wind for the early.

Beyond that, they diverge on our prospects, but there does seem to be some consensus around mid-next week being interesting…

Have a top old Tuesday!

Outlook is for light SE to east wind today

Weather Situation

A trough extends from northern New South Wales across the southeast, straddled between two weak high pressure systems. This trough is expected to move slowly to the northeast today followed by a southerly wind change as the high pressure system to the west extends a ridge over the south. This high should become established over the Tasman Sea by Wednesday bringing the return of an east to northeasterly airstream, ahead of a front on Thursday bringing another southerly change to the coast.
