I checked out Brownwater and Whiterock for half an hour or so just before noon. Tide was still quite high and although the lines looked nice thanks to the blasting offshore, in reality they were disappointingly gutless. The best waves at Whiterock were delivering maybe 2-3 seconds of vertical face before fading away to nothing. Brownwater was even more of a hoax. Waves looked good for an instant when they first threw out (slightly) but were so fat that no one was bothering to chase them. Collaroy was suitable for very patient longboarders with modest expectations of knee to waist high little burgers. Maybe when the tide runs out…
