Small Tuesday morning

Hello Friends,

Light NW wind and a small but definite improvement to the swell settings for Tuesday morning. We’re seeing a little over a metre of 12-sec SSE swell out at the buoy. It doesn’t seem to be doing much at Dee Why though. There were a few bods hanging out up the beach from the SLSC, but while I watched, nothing really happened. Based on where they were sitting, my guess is that set wave faces are around the thigh to waist range. The models generally predict that our swell energy will fade a touch later.
Tide hits low at 0900 and wind should stay out of the NW all day.
The Bureau’s modelling is still showing the south swell kicking up sometime tomorrow afternoon. Wind’s expected to be offshore but pretty strong and there’s an 80% chance of showers.
Swell could get into the 3-4m range at sea as the pulse peaks on Friday. The models reckon it’ll be SSE and above the 2 metre mark until Sunday morning. The wind outlook is for mainly southerly conditions and pretty strong too. So, options are likely to be pretty limited.
As always, we shall see what we see…
Have a top old Tuesday everyone and keep on smilin’!
