Just back from a run to Manly and can report that the extra east in the swell is lighting up a few more options. The Bower actually had a few shoulder plus sets and Manly was shoulder at the south end to head plus at Queensie. Curly had one taker. Just looks like way too much work for not the greatest banks. Dee Why point was well populated again this morning, but not looking quite as consistent and average set size is down a touch over yesterday which means more head plus than 1.5x overhead. Tide was pretty full too (given that high was at 0920). The beach break was challenging looking, but people were definitely picking up a few worthwhile lefts along with the odd right. Good fitness building I’d have thought.
Outlook is for sunny conditions and a steadily declining swell. Should be something again tomorrow morning and maybe, possibly, some little scraps for Saturday morning. Beyond that doesn’t look real good to me, so I’ll be interested to see what the Goat thinks about the prospects.
