At 0600 it was pretty much dead south and 1.6 metres at 8.5 seconds in Sydney. So, from long experience, I’m thinking waist-ish at south magnets this morning. Wind was still out the WSW when I wrote this, but it’s set to go southerly and then SE later. So, not the best prospects I’m afraid.
Still, you’ve got a better chance at a wave than we do in Santa Barbara. The fog (common this time of year) is lurking just off the beach and there’s maybe an ankle high bomb set at the better locations. Judging from the cams it’s into the barely surfable range down in southern Orange county – but that’s the equivalent of Seal Rocks away for a Sydneysider in terms of distance.
No postcard for you today as I haven’t been out to the beach. I’ll try to pull my socks up tomorrow.
