Looks as though the swell has perked in Sydney on Sarturday morning. Wind is playing nice too. The MHL buoy shows the dominant energy out of the south but with a windswelly period. From a scan of the cams it looks like the swell is around the chest plus range on sets, but it seems very lully.
From a quick glance at the models the week ahead seems kind of reasonable if not spectacular. Basically there should be surf of some sort all week with a possible pulse again next weekend.
SoCal continues to be micro, unusually warm even for summer and not terribly windy. This afternoon I went for a beach stroll and grabbed a snap of the fog layer hanging just along the coast. It was naturally monochromatic so I made it into a black and white version.
