Hello Friends,
Swell still hanging in this morning. It’s down a fraction over yesterday but still close to 3 metres from the SE at 10 seconds. That’s translating into head to head plus wave faces at both the point and along the beach. Speaking of the beach, it looked a little tiny bit less straight at 0700 compared to the same time yesterday. Meanwhile the point is just the point – busy with the pre-work crew as usual as we roll toward the high tide at 1050.
The day started sunny, but the Bureau says there’s an 80% of light precipitation late in the day. Wind should be light and out of the W-SW this morning, before swinging NE this afternoon. At the same time the swell is expected to drop quite a bit and to be about a third the present size by close of play.
There’s a gale warning for strong SW’ly winds tomorrow, plus the Bureau expects a mix of 1.5 to 2 metre SE and a metre of NE. As well there’s a 90% chance of showers, so probably not much of a surf day. Friday’s shaping to be southerly early and then variable in the afternoon. Swell is expected to be 2.5 to 3 metres early and then going SE in the afternoon. With any luck, the energy will continue into Saturday.
Have yourself a top old Wednesday everyone!
