The Goat Surf Forecast

Surf forecast issued Thursday 24 September 2015: Eight day outlook for Sydney:

As I write, according to the Bureau the temp at Sydney Airport is 12 with a feels-like temp of 4… courtesy of the rather brisk SW wind that’s been blowing all day…which has brought some largish South swell up with it.  Currently raining from Batemans Bay to Port Macquarie, but pretty much nowhere else on the coast or inland – which may irritate those who are at places in between for the school hols.

Waves all weekend and through next week..but.. in the main, not for the inexperienced at exposed places.  Try the sheltered south corners… Know your limitations, and check back with Don for the daily updates. Note the BoM’s warning for tomorrow below.

I wouldn’t be surprised if many patrolled beaches are closed on the weekend.

Friday: bigger than today as the swell turns more SE..say 2-3 metres at beaches that handle South East swell

Saturday and Sunday: similar, 2-3 metre range from the South East

Monday: say around 2 metres South East

Tuesday: 1-2 metres East South East

Wednesday, Thursday, Friday: up and down in the 1-2 metre range South East.

Water temp is around 20.
