Monday, Monday and we still have a few waves

Hello Friends,

Swell’s noticeably smaller than yesterday, but there are waist to chest sets showing at the point and knee to waist up the beach toward No Mans. I can’t give you the latest from MHL because their site is still frozen on the Dec 4, but my estimate is that we’re looking at 8-10 sec NE swell at around the metre mark. Tide was high at 0620 and will be low at 1245. Wind should be lightly onshore at first but should be texturing the surface by late morning and making it choppy and junky by mid-afternoon as the NE gets up to 10-15 kts.

For a week now the forecast models have all been pointing toward a slump into marginal conditions between now and Wednesday morning. This morning’s long range projections aren’t too encouraging. If they have it right, we’re facing marginal to flat summer conditions (ie, short period and small) for the next 10-14 days. Oh well, it is summer after all. Might be time to dust off the snorkling gear, etc.

Have yourself a top old Monday!
