Grey skies, grey seas and low energy

Hello Friends,

Not the most attractive start for Thursday. The swell energy has faded away to just about nothing. The MHL buoy was showing 1.7 metres of 6-second SSE wind swell and while there were a few people in the water along the beach at Dee Why, I didn’t see anyone catch a wave. I’d say you’d be doing really well if you could find something above knee high. First high tide of the day is 0815, so not only was it tiny, it was fat as well.

Outlook is for the tiny conditions to persist through tomorrow. The models are predicting an uptick in the energy levels over the weekend. It doesn’t look amazing or anything, but there could be a little fun one at south magnet for the early on Saturday and maybe again on Sunday.

So, have yourself a top old Thursday and stay happy!
