Socked in and rainy start to Tuesday

Hello Friends,

According to the MHL data, we had 8-second SE wind swell at 1.8 metres off Sydney. Wind was light SSW early and tide was coming off the high at 0620. It was raining lightly but steadily. The Bureau says the wind will go SE and then E-SE later.

Surf situation is not looking too flash. There’s not much energy in it thanks to the short period and sadly it doesn’t seem as though it’ll improve today. Dee Why had a few takers, but the quality was marginal and weak with set wave faces struggling to make the chest high mark. Water should be more than a little woofy with all the rain of the last 24 hours. Certainly it didn’t look too appetizing.

From tomorrow it might bump up just a bit, but the wind call is for E-SE onshore conditions right through to Christmas morning, when we could see a switch to a summery NE pattern and the temps go up. Then, if the models have it right, we switch back to southerly and bigger but probably pretty junky.

So, there is sort of something and tomorrow might be slightly more energetic, but if you can’t get in, rest assured you aren’t missing much. \

Have a great Tuesday and stay happy!
