A touch smaller than yesterday, but as of 0500, there was still 1.3 metres of SE swell at 9 seconds. So a little smaller, a little weaker and a touch more east to it.
At Dee Why the set wave faces were chest-ish. Mostly of course they were smaller than that. It also looked a little less consistent to me.
Tide was high at 0500 and is now dropping to the low at 1130.
Wind early was lightly from the NW. It’ll swing around to the NE as the day warms up and be into the 15-20 kt range by this afternoon.
Swell energy levels and direction look likely to stay at about the same intensity through today, but it’s still on a weakening trend and tomorrow should be smaller again. If most of the swell models are right, the trend will start back up on Thursday as we head toward what could be (potentially) a week of swell. As of today’s predictions, Saturday morning’s prospects look pretty interesting…
