Wednesday sunny but nearly flat early

Hello Friends,

Perfect conditions this morning, but for a near complete lack of swell. A little before 0700 there were a pair of SUP riders looking for the odd ankle to knee high bump under the sunny early morning skies.
Wind was out of the NW at around 5 kts and there was around a metre of 9-sec south swell out at sea. Tide was high at 0445 and will be low again at 1125. We’re headed to a high of 28 with a possible late shower as we shift into a southerly pattern.
The Bureau’s hoisted a strong wind warning for 20-30 kts of southerly tomorrow – and at this stage it seems we could be in for generally south conditions through to mid-next week. The swell’s obviously going to come up with the wind, but the models are showing sub-10 sec periods until around Saturday, so I’m not too hopeful for much in the protected south corners at least initially. Maybe later as the swell goes more SE later in the weekend and the wind throttles back a little…
Have yourself a top old Wednesday one and all!
