Clean little waves for the early

Hello Friends,

Tide was about an hour off low when I checked it for the first time this morning, the first day of autumn. Wind was light and coming from the south west. A few hours earlier, the MHL buoy off Sydney was picking up 1.6 metres of 13-sec SSE swell. By the time I looked at it, there were knee to waist sets at the point and waist to chest plus on the biggest ones up the beach toward No Mans. Looks like a fun morning to be in.
The Bureau tells us to expect the NE’r to pick up soon and to be 15-20 kts by lunch time. Some of the swell models are calling for it to be relatively light until midday and then to pick up after that. Still, the earlier you can get to the beach, the cleaner your options.
Speaking of the models, they haven’t changed much since yesterday. Basically they’re saying we can expect small to marginal conditions for the rest of the work week with a potential little uptick at the weekend.
Have yourself a great Tuesday one and all!
