TG’s Surf Forecast

Surf forecast issued Thursday 7 April 2016: Seven day outlook for Sydney:

The wind huffed and puffed overnight and earlier today and blew up some swell, but it’s dead South so it’s all going straight past here, to bump into the coast further north. Wind has started to ease off already so the swell hasn’t had much of a chance to build up momentum or get itself excited with a high pulse rate, so not much coming inshore.  But there may be some fun little waves around on the weekend with light winds forecast.  Some more southerly stuff again later next week should make it interesting (to watch Nature at work)…

Friday: in the 1-2 metre range, probably low end, South East

Saturday: around 1-1+ metres East South East

Sunday: ditto

Monday: 1-1+ metres at dead South places

Tuesday: in the 1-2 metre range dead South

Wednesday: ditto, slightly bigger

Thursday: coming up from the South (probably with bad weather) say 3-4, 4+ metres at dead South places.

Water temp as we speak (I speak..you listen) is around 22 after being 25 only a few days ago.  But as there is still a lot of warm water just offshore I wouldn’t be surprised if it warmed up inshore again soon…
