Monday chilly early with waves to be had

Hello Friends,

Another brisk winter morning in Sydney. Swell was just under the 2 metre mark at 0600 and was coming from the SSE at 11 seconds apart. Sets at the point around 0800 looked to be in the waist to chest range. There were lots of people in the water along the beach too and it looked to be bigger as you went north – maybe into the the head high range on the biggest ones. Tide’s dropping to the low at 0900 and then will be back to high at 1525.
The Bureau tells us that the southerly component of the east and southerly swell combo will fade today and by tomorrow both swells are expected to be around the metre mark. So, definitely not flat, but probably not much above the waist to chest range at most spots.
Outlook for the remainder of the work week remains for small but surfable conditions to prevail.
Have yourself a safe and happy holiday Monday one and all!

Weather Situation
A high pressure system over southeast Australia extends a ridge across the NSW Waters. The high will drift east over the next couple of days before a southerly change extends across southern and central parts of the coast during Tuesday. Another high pressure ridge will strengthen in the wake of the change on Wednesday.
