Hello Friends,

Breezy under partly cloudy skies as Saturday morning got going. Had hoped to see some sort of wave activity but there’s really nothing going on at Dee Why. The MHL buoy was showing 1.3 metres of 6-sec NE bump, so there might be some knee high lumps at an optimally aligned beach. Wind’s NNW at 15-20 kts as of 0730. Tide’s high at 0925
Outlook is for the swell to come up from the south late in the day, joining the existing NE energy. Wind should go more west as well. The models aren’t too hopeful about quality today, but tomorrow it looks as though we can expect some potentially good to very good conditions at south magnets – particularly for the morning session.
Have a top old Saturday!

Weather Situation
Northerly winds are increasing along the New South Wales coast as a low pressure system and associated trough approach from the west. The low will move off the south coast Friday night bringing vigorous west to southwesterly winds along the southern and central coasts. The low will move rapidly east during Saturday as a high pressure system near the Bight moves east extending a ridge to the Tasman Sea and winds are expected to gradually ease.
