Beautiful morning but not a hint of a wave

Hello Friends,
Cool start with sunny skies and 15-25 kts of westerly – and not a hint of swell.
However… the Bureau tells us to expect some south energy to start making itself felt from around mddday. Looking at the buoy data from the MHL, we can see Sydney was picking up a metre of 7-second south bump at 0500.
Unfortunately the Batemans Bay and Eden buoys are offline, so there’s no direct way to check what’s happening with the energy levels where the predicted swell’s coming from. But if the forecast models have it right, there’s really not much to get hopeful about surf prospects later today.
Tomorrow’s maybe a little more hopeful, but the aforesaid models are all saying things will get energetic on Thursday as a south change belts through. So, Friday morning’s still looking the best hope for a decent wave.
Have a great Tuesday everybody!

Weather Situation

Northerly winds ahead of the front will shift south to southwesterly as the front moves up northern parts of the coast this morning.
