Hello Friends,

Good news on the swell front this morning. It didn’t drop as much overnight as had been predicted and as of 0630 there were head plus sets at the point and much the same up the beach. The latter however appeared to be shutting down just as relentlessly as yesterday.
According to the Bureau, you’d better get on it asap because they say the swell could be half the present size by this afternoon. Plus, the wind is predicted to be a summery 15-25 kts from the NE under clear skies.
As the day got started, wind was light from the NW and the SSE swell was close to two metres at a healthy 12 seconds. Tide was dropping to the low at 0750 when I grabbed the pictures.
From the models it would appear that this is as good as it gets for at least the next week – and likely beyond. There could be some energy again tomorrow before we slide into a period of short period and marginal to flat conditions – if the models have it right.
Have yourself a great day everyone!
