Quiet and grey morning at Dee Why

Hello Friends,

What a dull old morning. A good one to be headed off to work or school really. As of 0630 Dee Why was flat, choppy and sideshore thanks to the SSW wind. The MHL buoy was picking up about a metre of 6-sec bump from the SSE and wind was coming from the SSW at 5-10 kts.
When will we have waves again? Well, this morning’s models are, shall we say, not encouraging for the near term. They’re pretty much all predicting sub-8 second period wind swell in the metre range or less until next week.
Ah well, so it goes. Huey’ll be back one day, so on with other things for now.
Have a great day and keep on smilin’!

Weather Situation
A slow-moving south to southeasterly change along the central coast will push through to the northern coast tonight, and then through to the Queensland border during Thursday as a low pressure trough moves northeast. Following the trough, a high pressure system will move across southern Australia, before the next cold front is expected on the weekend. Winds will turn northerly and strengthen on Saturday ahead of the cold front.
