Another waiting day, but not just another day

Looking like another day of next to nothing at the point

Hello Friends,

A grim morning for your correspondent given events in the USA. But you didn’t come here for my thoughts on that, so on with the report, and we’re facing another day of extremely marginal to flat conditions at Dee Why. There’s a lot of moisture in the air so skies are hazy and grey early. There was a faint NNW breeze and the latest MHL buoy data was showing a metre of 8-sec SE wind bump coming our way. As the picture shows, it was translating into only the tiniest of lines at the point and from the crows nest it wasn’t possible to see any hint of waves on the beach. That may in part be a consequence of the 0515 high tide.
The wind’s expected to come up from the NE this afternoon, but it won’t be pushing up any more swell.
This morning’s run of the models indicate the prospect of a slight bump up from flatness around Saturday and Sunday, but it looks like being unspectacular at best. There seems to be a little hope for early next week, so I’ll be keen to see the Goat’s thoughts later today.
Go well one and all
