Hello Friends,
The Bureau’s hoisted the strong wind warning pennants this morning for 20-25 kts of north to NE wind. No news from the MHL buoys since yesterday, so we’re stuck with the forecasts and the Bureau’s calling for a mix of 1 metre south and NE swells. As the pictures show, there’s not much of anything happening at Dee Why this morning. I couldn’t see anyone in the water but you might find a little something at spots with better exposure to the NE – of course the wind’s already ramping up (it was NNE 8-10 kts a little before 0700).
Tide’s dropping to the low at 0935 and by the time wind’s at full throttle, the high will arrive at 1545.
Should be a sunny day with a high of 31.
Tomorrow’s not looking exceptionally hopeful either, but some of the more hopeful models are showing interesting conditions for Thursday morning onward – and through the weekend. The wind outlook’s not quite so good – lots of S-SE basically.

A high pressure system over the Tasman Sea is slowly moving east and extends a ridge to the north coast. North to northeasterly winds will freshen over the coming days ahead of a front which is approaching from the west. This front is forecast to bring a strong southerly change to southern waters on today, extending northwards to reach the far north coast by early Thursday.
