A touch more activity at the point as of 0700

Hello Friends,
Wind was light from the north at 0730 but the Bureau’s hoisted a strong wind warning for 15-25 kts f N-NE As you can see from the pics, there’s a touch more activity this morning, but it’s still barely into the catchable range. I’d say knee to maybe occasionally thigh high at south exposed stretches. The latest MHL data was showing 1.3 metres of 5-7 sec south wind swell, but there’s also a small amount of 12-sec component, so there just might be sets into the waist plus range at magnet spots.
Tide’s low at 0930 and back to a 1.5m high at 1540.
Should be a toasty 29 and partly cloudy day.
The Goat will be along later with his weekend and beyond surf forecast, so I’ll be keen to see what he reckons about Saturday’s prospects. From what the models are showing it looks like here could be a window of surf opportunity at selected locations…
Have a terrific Thursday one and all!

Weather Situation
A high pressure ridge in the Tasman Sea directs northeasterly winds across the coast. Today a front and associated low pressure system over The Bight deepen and move east with northeasterly winds increasing to strong along much of the NSW Waters. The front and southerly change cross southern coastal areas later today before moving through the remaining coastal areas during Friday. A high pressure ridge follows in the wake of the front during Saturday with winds moderating. By Saturday evening a new high pressure system will be established in the Tasman Sea with winds tending east to northeasterly once again.
