Hello Friends,

Well, that was quick. Yesterday at this time we had close to 3 metres of raw south swell. But, this morning it’s just about all gone – even though the Sydney MHL buoy was still showing two metres of 9-second south swell at 0500.
There were a few people in the water at Kiddies and one optimist out at the point, but I didn’t see anyone catch anything. We had a 1.7 metre high tide at 0630, so that undoubtedly is partially to blame for the nothing burger conditions. Wind was 10-15 kts from the NE when I took the pictures and it’ll be picking up to 15-20 kts by this afternoon.
Outlook is for the swell to drop into the 1.5 metre range today and to keep decaying away to be maybe a metre tomorrow morning.
The next three days look to be dominated by NE wind and not much swell energy. Beyond that there is some divergence in the swell models. The more optimistic are projecting up to head high at SE spots on Thursday, whilst the pessimists are basically saying ‘nuh, there won’t be anything’. Naturally we’re all hoping the optimists will be right.
Have yourself a great Sunday everyone and go well with your plans!
