Blasting SSE wind and some swell

Hello Friends,
20-25 kts of SSE wind as of 0700 Sunday morning under partly cloudy skies. The MHL Sydney buoy is off the air, but looking at it I reckon it’s probably around a metre or two out at sea. Along the beach at Dee Why it seems to be chest to maybe shoulder high on the (messy) wave faces. And there were folks in the water at both the point and up the beach, but gee you’d want to be keen.
The Bureau is calling for 1-1.5 metres of south with a similar amount of of east to NE component for today and something similar for tomorrow. By Wednesday they think we should see the easterly pick up while the south stuff weakens a bit. Unfortunately the baleful onshores aren’t expected to let up.
For the last few days the models have been predicting offshores and solid east to ESE swell under sunny skies for Thursday and Friday – and they’re still saying the same thing in this morning’s forecasts. So something to look forward to.
Go well with your Sunday everyone!

Weather Situation
A low pressure system (Ex-Tropical Cyclone Debbie) remains almost stationary over the northern Tasman Sea, while a high south of the Bight extends a strengthening ridge into New South Wales. The combination of these systems is generating southerly winds over coastal waters, which will remain fresh to strong in the north until the low begins to move away early in the new week. By mid-week the high is expected to be centred over eastern New South Wales, promoting a return to lighter winds.
