Another showery start for Tuesday

Hello Friends,

At 0700 the wind was SSE 10-15 kts and a line of showers was crossing the northern beaches. Tide was still dropping to the low at 0855. Swell was coming from the east and was around 2 metres at 7 sec. There were a few keen folks in the water at the point chasing the fairly chaotic lumpy bumps but up the beach it was just too far gone to be worth anyone’s time.
Swell energy should stick around at about the current intensity through tomorrow, but it’s likely to be windy again tomorrow morning. The models which had been pretty hopeful about our chances on Thursday and Friday, are not so promising this morning. They’re showing so-so prospects for Thursday, but at least some are indicating an afternoon uptick thanks to an increase in period from 9 to 12 seconds. So maybe Thursday afternoon and probably Friday morning…
Have yourself a great Tuesday everybody!

Weather Situation
A low pressure system over the northern Tasman Sea is slowly moving towards New Zealand, while a high pressure system over Tasmania extends a ridge into New South Wales. The combination of these systems is generating south to southeasterly winds over coastal waters, tending fresh to strong in the north for the next day or two. By Thursday the low is expected to be over New Zealand and the high to the east of Bass Straight, promoting an easing of winds.
