A day for the super keen

Hello Friends,
Another beautiful autumn morning with only tiny waves on offer. Still, there are a few peaks about on south exposed stretches and it is possible to pick up a soft little waist high section if you’re in the spot. Wind was light north early and should pick up a little into the 10-15 kt range later. Swell outlook is not too exciting, so if you’re keen to get wet, this morning’s probably the best shot for the weekend. Tide’s dropping to a low at 1120 and it should be a mostly sunny day with a high of 25. Lovely.
Hughie’s going to be in a southerly mood from Monday through to Weds-Thursday. The models are showing a couple metres of south swell filling in from Sunday pm to Monday pm and sticking around at about that height through Wednesday before slipping down a cog on approach to the weekend. However it does look as though there should be surfable conditions – wind willing – all week.
Have yourself a top old Saturday!

Weather Situation
A high pressure system over the Tasman Sea is moving east, maintaining a ridge to the northern New South Wales coast, while a cold front approaches the state from the west. Most coastal waters will experience increasing northerly winds ahead of this front, which will bring a gusty west to southwesterly change to southern parts overnight, continuing through to the northern border during Sunday. A low pressure centre associated with this system is expected to deepen as it reaches the Tasman Sea Sunday night, before moving gradually away to the east over the following couple of days. This development should see winds turn southerly for the first half of the new week, with an increasing swell also forecast.
