"Stay happy and you'll be perfectly fine" - Jack Norris

Still listening to the hold music

Hello Friends,
Brisk start under mainly sunny skies for Monday in Sydney. Alas, the sparkling conditions are not (yet) accompanied by waves. The Bureau assures us they are on the way and it’s backing itself with a large and powerful surf conditions warning for later in the day. In fact it could start to show anytime now because at 0500 Port Kembla’s waverider buoy was showing 13 seconds SSE while from Sydney north it was about 8 seconds and from the south. So, inbound – and soon.
Wind was west 8-9 kts at 0740 and tide was dropping from the 1.5m high to a low at 1240.
The models mostly predict the swell will stay straight south through to around midweek, so we’re confined to the south magnets across the period in question.
If I get a chance, I’ll update the pics when the swell starts to fill in…
Have yourself a great Monday and here’s to being surfed out by this evening!
