Not looking too surfable at the Dee Why end of the beach. Looks to be around the knee high mark and dumpy under heavily overcast skies with 5-10 kts of SW breeze. It’s set to swing southerly and pick up into the 15-20 kt range. Out at sea swell is 1.65 metres at 7 seconds from 168° (SSE), so we’re unlikely to see any significant improvement to conditions. We should see the odd light shower today.
Tomorrow’s set to still be cloudy but with light winds and the prospect of an influx of easterly swell that could get into the interesting range (maybe chest to shoulder plus at magnets).

Weather Situation
A high pressure system over the Tasman Sea is maintaining a ridge towards the northern New South Wales coast while a slow-moving cold front lies across southeastern Australia. A southerly change associated with this front will stall and weaken on the northern coast today, before northerly winds once again establish from Wednesday. Another trough looks set to bring a west to southwesterly change at the end of the week.
