Grey skies and waves

Hello Friends,

As expected, swell has perked up again this morning. The offshore buoy was showing 1.67 metres of 10-11 sec  ENE (70°) energy.  Surface conditions at Dee Why looked kind of sloppy and lumpy with sets in the waist to chest plus range. Checking some of the cams, it looks like, as usual, the waves are a bit better at the more optimally aligned exposures north and south. Wind should be light all day, so the current surface conditions will likely stay roughly as the pictures show. Tide was low at 0545 and it’ll be high at 1215.  Unsurprisingly, given the lowering skies, there’s a possibility of the odd shower as we head to a high of 21C.

There’s a strong wind warning for tomorrow, along with more showery weather. The models show the NE’r picking up in the early morning hours, so the exposed locations are likely to be junky from the get-go. On the positive side, the NE component of the swell is predicted to increase slightly, so your summer go-to spots will be the plan.

Have a top old Wednesday and stay safe.

Not super clean, but definitely rideable
