Waves to be had early

Hello Friends,

Cloudy skies and 10-12 kts of NE wind by 0700 with 2 metres of 8-second east swell meant chest to shoulder plus sets at magnets. Waves didn’t look too juicy, but they were big enough to ensure you had enough face to work with. And it wasn’t looking particularly crowded. Tide was coming off the 0410 high when I grabbed the snaps and will bottom out at 1045. By the time high tide arrivces at 1640, the wind should be hammering along at 20-25 kts from the north. So, get in while you can, because options are going to be limited very soon.
There looks like being a potentially good surf morning tomorrow, but you’ll want to be early and north corners will probably be the go.
Have a great Saturday – and mask up!

Weather Situation
A high pressure system over the southern Tasman Sea extends a ridge up the New South Wales coast and is the dominant feature in the region. This is leading to northerly winds in most coastal areas today, before another trough and southerly change moves up the coast on Sunday. South to southeasterly winds will continue into the new week as a new high pressure system ridges up the coastline.
