Rainy and micro Wednesday

Head’s up: Partially treated discharge at Warriewood WRRF at 1253hrs, 6-4-22. Flows receiving wet weather treatment. (Sydney water message)

Hello Friends,

A morning only for the keenest of the keen. The day started off with rain, WSW wind and only a hint of south wind swell. At Dee Why a little group of folks were chasing knee high bumps just north of the surf club. It was too small for the point and it appeared that the lulls were long.

Outlook is not great. Tomorrow the Bureau is warning we could see 70-100mm of rain and on Friday they say we could get another 30-45mm. At the same time the swell outlook is for conditions to remain tiny into the weekend. The more hopeful models are showing potentially fun conditions on Sunday morning thanks to light offshores and 2 or so metres of 10 second east-ish swell. And next week is currently looking interesting – good at first, then back to howling southerly wind and more big south swell.

Go well with your Wednesday and stay safe!
