Hello Friends,
A good day to stay inside and, ideally, off the roads. At 0900 it was raining heavily across most of Sydney and along the coast the wind was east at 16-26 kts. It was trashing a 2.8 m 8-sec SE wind swell. The water looked really bad too. At Queenscliff it was blackish brown and the beach was strewn with flotsam. Not surprisingly, Beachwatch was warning that pollution is likely pretty much everywhere south of Newport to Cronulla.
The rain and onshores are set to continue through most of the weekend. Then we should have a mostly sunny day Monday, before the showery stuff returns.
I’m really hoping the Goat spots something more hopeful in the signs and portents, but we shall see…
Stay dry, stay well and have a good one.
Weather Situation
Fresh easterly or southeasterly winds will most prevail along the coast for the next couple of days a strong high pressure system slowly moves over the southern Tasman Sea near Tasmania. These winds will tend northeasterly along the southern coast on Saturday as the high continues moving east.
