Hello Friends,
Another marvellous morning along the Northern Beaches with sunny skies and a light offshore breeze fanning the incoming micro swell. Out at sea it’s 1.2 metres at 10 seconds from the east, but along the beach at Dee Why you’d be very lucky to see a 1.2 metre wave face. So, haul out the SUP or the mal or your nearest equivalent if you’re getting in that 24C (!) water. BTW, tide was low at 0800 and will be back to high at 1400. Enjoy the sunshine because the next week is set to be cool, cloudy and showery.
Wavewise, the forecasts are showing a slight lift for tomorrow morning with light offshores, but the remainder of the week sees wind going onshore from the east to NE. The interesting, maybe good, thing is that the models show 2-3 metres of 9-10 sec ENE swell arriving on Thursday. Wind will be a problem, but maybe the odd north corner will cope… and the weekend might see swell + more favourable wind.
Go well, stay safe and have a good one!
Weather Situation
A trough has pushed north into the southeast of Queensland, while a ridge of high pressure has developed across most of the state. Fresh westerly winds will slowly weaken into Sunday making way for a southerly wind regime as a low pressure system near Tasmania moves away to the east. A new ridge of high pressure is expected to develop in the wake of the low.
